The hourly fee for all my professional psychological services is $150.00/hr. However, I am contracted to accept the in-network payment rate for
all insurance carriers for which I am an in-network provider. In addition to regular face-to-face services for psychotherapy and test administration,
that fee is charged for all test scoring, test interpretations, and report writing. If my participation is requested for legal proceedings or educational
meetings at a school, my fee is $500/hour, including transportation. Almost always, that service cannot be charged to the insurance carrier and
must be paid by you.
The routine office procedure in my practice is that the administrative assistant will bill your insurance carrier. You will be responsible for any cost-
sharing that is set by your insurance plan. That is, the amount of deductible and co-payments of which you are responsible. The administrative
assistant will typically phone your insurance plan ahead of your first appointment so that we can apprise you of your out-of-pocket costs.
If your account becomes delinquent and we have not agreed upon payment arrangements, I may use the legal system to obtain payment. This
procedure would typically involve the use of small claims court or a collection agency whereupon your PHI may be disclosed. Typical disclosure
are limited to your name, services provided, and amount due.
